1. The God Father

The God father is very popular movie which every Dad would love to enjoy. It is a 1972 American crime film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by Albert S. Ruddy, based on Mario Puzo’s best-selling novel of the same name. It stars Marlon Brando and Al Pacino as the leaders of a fictional New York crime family. The story, spanning 1945 to 1955, chronicles the family under the patriarch Vito Corleone, focusing on the transformation of Michael Corleone (Pacino) from reluctant family outsider to ruthless mafia boss.
The Godfather is widely regarded as one of the greatest films in world cinema and one of the most influential, especially in the gangster genre. It was selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 1990, being deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and is ranked the second-greatest film in American cinema by the American Film Institute.

2. Father of the Bride

It is said dads are more possessed to daughters and this can be seen in this movie. Father of the Bride is a 1991 American comedy film starring Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams , George Newbern, Martin Short, B. D. Wong, and Kieran Culkin. It is a remake of the 1950 film of the same name.
The film inspired a series of Hallmark commercials that featured the smiling faces of the happy couple and sneak-peeks at the backs of numerous greeting cards. It is number 92 on Bravo’s “100 Funniest Movies”. Martin portrays George Banks, a businessman and owner of an athletic shoe company called Side Kicks, who, when he finds out his daughter is getting married, does not want to give her away. He eventually learns to live with his new son-in-law and realizes that as long as his daughter is happy, he is happy.

Maybe your father doesn’t like you watching a violent movie but it is good film to watch where a deranged father is out to get his wife and son and fights his inner demons. The Shining is a 1980 British-American psychological horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick, co-written with novelist Diane Johnson, and starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, and Scatman Crothers. The film is based on Stephen King’s 1977 novel The Shining.

4. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

If your Dad loves car racing then this movie is sure a hit for him. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a 1968 British musical adventure fantasy film directed by Ken Hughes and written by Roald Dahl and Hughes, loosely based on Ian Fleming’s 1964 novel Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car. The film stars Dick Van Dyke, Sally Ann Howes, Lionel Jeffries, James Robertson Justice, Robert and Gert Forbes. It is the fourth installment in National Lampoon’s Vacation film series, and was written by Elisa Bell, based on a story by Bell and Bob Ducsay. The film stars Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo and Randy Quaid, with Ethan Embry and Marisol Nichols as Griswold children Rusty and Audrey.

The story goes where upon arriving in Vegas, the family embarks upon a series of misadventures. Dad gambles away the family’s $22,600 bank account, leading wife and both of the kids to desert him. After all the misadventures dad realizes he no longer cares about getting his money back, but he needs to get his family back. Your dad will surely love this movie.

6. Morris from America

This story is about a 13-year-old black kid from New York living in Germany—adding a whole new challenge to the notion of growing up and fitting in. While all his classmates love dance music, Morris fancies himself a rapper, writing in-his-dreams rhymes humping his pillow for practice during his awkward puberty phase. He gets relentlessly made fun of by his dad, played by Craig Robinson, who, between polar opposite appearances on The Office and Mr. Robot, finds the perfect balance of drama and comedy in this Chad Hartigan indie.

7. The Royal Tenenbaums

No kid wants their Daddy to leave them. But in The Royal Tenenbaums things are something different. Released in 2001 this film is American comedy-drama film directed by Wes Anderson and co-written with Owen Wilson. The film stars Danny Glover, Gene Hackman, Anjelica Huston, Bill Murray, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, and Owen Wilson.

It follows the lives of three gifted siblings who experience great success in youth, and even greater disappointment and failure after their eccentric father leaves them in their adolescent years. 8. Toni Erdmann

Toni Erdmann is a 2016 German-Austrian comedy-drama film directed, written and co-produced by Maren Ade. It stars Peter Simonischek and Sandra Hüller. The film, which premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, was named the best film of 2016 by Sight & Sound and other respected cinema magazines.

Winfried Conradi is a divorced music teacher, an old-age hippie of sorts, with a passion for bizarre pranks involving several fake personas.
